Frequently Asked Questions

do I really need therapy?

You don’t have to be “really messed up” to seek out or benefit from therapy. I have found a huge benefit in my own therapy and believe it is one of the greatest investments you can make in yourself. Yoga, working out and girls’ nights can help provide short-term relief after a long day or after a fight with your significant other, but therapy provides transformation, healing, level-ing up and freedom that can’t be replicated elsewhere.

do you only work with women?

I am in the business of empowering women, but I occasionally work with men if it is a good fit. Women are often held back by societal, family and self-imposed restrictions and expectations, but also have incredible untapped power and potential. I LOVE helping others overcome the obstacles and barriers keeping them stuck so they can become confident, empowered and feel fulfilled. I love watching my clients go from surviving to THRIVING, and getting to be a part of that transformation.

do you offer online or in-person therapy?

I offer both in person and online therapy. I provide in-person at my office in Denver, and online therapy for residents of Colorado.

how will i know if you’re the right therapist for me?

It’s a lot like finding the right OBGYN - you’ll likely know a good fit or a bad fit right away. It is important for us both to feel like it is a good fit so we do not waste time or money, and so that you receive the best care possible. If for any reason you or I feel we are not a good fit I will provide you with trusted referrals.

how long does therapy take?

Therapy is a highly individualized, so there isn’t a set amount of time. The length of time you are in therapy depends on your goals. I ask new clients to come weekly for the first 1-2 months to allow us to build a relationship and make progress more quickly. After that we continue to meet weekly or drop down to every other week, then monthly and then only meeting if/when you need it.
