Frequently Asked Questions

  • You don’t have to be “really messed up” to seek out or benefit from therapy. I have found a huge benefit in my own therapy and believe it is one of the greatest investments you can make in yourself. Yoga, working out and girls’ nights can help provide short-term relief after a long day or after a fight with your significant other, but therapy provides transformation, healing, level-ing up and freedom that can’t be replicated elsewhere.

  • Both! I see clients in-person at my office in Denver. I can see clients all over Colorado for online therapy, as long as they are living in Colorado while we are working together.

    * In late 2025 I expect to be able to see clients in more states as the Counseling Compact goes into effect. When that happens you will see updates here.

  • I am in the business of empowering women, but I occasionally work with men when it is a good fit. Women are often held back by societal, family and self-imposed restrictions and expectations, but also have incredible untapped power and potential. I LOVE helping others overcome the obstacles and barriers keeping them stuck so they can become confident, empowered and feel fulfilled. I love watching my clients go from surviving to THRIVING, and getting to be a part of that transformation.

  • It’s a lot like finding the right OBGYN - you’ll likely know a good fit or a bad fit right away. It is important for us both to feel like it is a good fit so we do not waste time or money, and so that you receive the best care possible. If for any reason you or I feel we are not a good fit I will provide you with trusted referrals.

  • Therapy is a highly individualized, so there isn’t a set amount of time. The length of time you are in therapy depends on your goals. Some people come in with goals we achieve quickly (see intensives). Sometimes clients meet their goals, then come up with new ones and we continue to meet and work on those goals. And sometimes, life just keeps happening and you want regular support, so you’re “in therapy” longer.

Regardless of goals, I ask new clients to come weekly for the first 2-3 months to allow us to build a relationship and make progress more quickly. After that we continue to meet weekly or drop down to every other week, then monthly and then only meeting if/when you need it.

  • Check out me fees on the investment page by clicking here. I offer a variety of therapy services that are priced accordingly. You can read more about my fees here.

  • At the end of the day, no matter what the therapist’s speciality, training or credentials are, you should always feel respected, heard and understood. You can expect to be asked about your feelings, your thoughts, your history when it’s relevant, your struggles, and what you want to work on. While a therapist is there to guide and support, it is ultimately on you, the client, to come in knowing what you want to talk about.
